Clinical Supervision
Dear Clinicians —
Working in the helping sector is extremely rewarding, but can be taxing on our emotional, mental and physical wellbeing.
I am passionate about supporting other helping professionals in safeguarding against vicarious trauma, fatigue and burnout.
My background in Clinical Supervision
As a qualified Social Worker, I have provided clinical supervision to frontline staff for several years in a variety of sectors.
My many years of working and managing domestic violence refuges; responding to acute sexual assaults and managing a statewide sexual assault service has provided me with a unique and comprehensive understanding of the ethical dilemmas and systemic complexities faced by sector professionals. I therefore specialise in supporting frontline domestic violence refuge; sexual assault and crisis support workers.
I provide a safe space for Social Workers & Allied Health Professionals to engage in critical reflection and I am very passionate about safeguarding frontline workers from the impact of vicarious trauma, compassion fatigue and burnout.
Within clinical supervision, we will work collaboratively to develop an individualised professional development and wellbeing plan.
Clinical Supervision can help professionals with
Development of a comprehensive, holistic and effective self-care plan to protect against fatigue, burn out and vicarious trauma
Enhancement of professional skills and competencies
Professional development and goal setting
Career progression and development
Critical reflection of systemic challenges, oppression and ethical dilemmas
Case studies and clinical recommendations
Mentorship & coaching
Leadership skill development
Mental Health Social Worker Accreditation (AMHSW)
Business development

My approach to clinical supervision is person (professional)-centred and incorporates the same holistic approach adopted in individual counselling sessions.

Seeking Accreditation as a Mental Health Social Worker?
As an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker (AMHSW) with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW), I understand how stressful and overwhelming the accreditation process can be.
I offer clinical support to Social Workers applying for their AMHSW, including Supervisor referee statements.
Mentorship and business development to assist with the transition into private practice can also be provided.

I believe that holistic counselling should be accessible to everyone.
Please don't hesitate to chat to me about any financial hardship, or disadvantage, you may be experiencing.
“I have seen clinical psychologists for years for help dealing with childhood abuse and complex family, career and health issues. Emily's clinical social work approach has worked better for me than any clinical psychologist.
From her psychology and social work training Emily applies a range of approaches, and what I have found best about her sessions is that she modifies the therapeutic framework according to what is going on and my needs on the day. I have left each session ready to face challenges with optimism rather than being floored by my emotions.”
