Services for Individuals

Holistic therapy allows for an all-encompassing approach to mental health wellness and care. My approach to counselling aims to provide a warm, open and non-judgemental space for individuals to explore any issues and challenges they are facing.

Using a range of evidence-based talk therapies, which include:

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

  • Interpersonal Therapy

  • Solution-focused therapy

  • Psychoeducation

  • Skills Training

In conjunction with somatic-based bodywork, including

  • Yoga-based practices & movement

  • Breathwork

  • Meditation

We aim to develop a more deeper understanding of self. This is done in a collaborative, trauma-informed and strength-based approach. Feedback is consistently sought to see whether the suggested tools and practices are supporting you. This approach recognises that creating mental wellness, and healing from trauma, requires support of both the body and mind.

I am a Registered Counsellor with Victim Services NSW and support individuals to complete Victim Assist QLD applications.

Moksha Holistic Counselling

What is Holistic Counselling?

Holistic Counselling is a multi-modality approach, utilising a range of treatments, frameworks and practice to support individuals to achieve mental wellness and recovery from trauma.

Many mental health challenges are a normal response to traumatic and stressful events. I believe understanding how these events impact our perception, nervous system and attachment style is an imperative component of talk therapy.

By developing a deeper awareness of self, we aim to enhance our quality of life. Improved quality of life is evident in increased vitality, improved mood, experiencing more joy, pleasure and happiness and having more positive and meaningful interpersonal relationships.

The talk therapy I offer is based primarily on Focused Psychological Strategies (FPS) including:

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

  • Narrative Therapy

  • Interpersonal Therapy

  • Solution Focused Therapy

  • Psychoeducation

  • Skills Training

  • Relaxation strategies
